Bamboo House

The transformation of WG's house in the NW of Kyoto, close to the Golden Pavilion, from retro Japan to retro fusion chic! Artisans, inspired ideas and super hard working (handsome) builders all helped me along the way!

The ground floor (1F) plan. There’s an entrance hall, front room, living room, kitchen, a back corridor, a bathroom and toilet. OUt the back there is a small garden about 50 cm wide from back of house, then a slope planted with bamboo, which leads down towards the river.
